Traits of ‘like’ minded people.
- They are mature enough and trust each other to co-operate. Realize the mutual benefit of working cooperatively rather
than solitarily. ( use another word here)
- Realize the importance of keeping aside differences and
moving ahead with plans. ( foresight - difficult to implement)
- Careful about money. Are money savers
- Realize that the most important improvements to our quality of life comes through scientific and technical developments. They are largely materialists.
- Do not indulge in sensationalist talk or get carried away
by sensationalist stuff. << define sensational stuff>>
- Do not believe in higher powers ( God etc.)
- Understand the Darwinian theory of evolution. Agree that we
are defined by our biological makeup.
- Do not believe in the clichéd – serve the society
slogans
- Believes that most people are idiots.( a fundamental theme recurring in most stuff that I've written) Agree that many
existing problems are man-made.
- Eclectic in approach and cautious about subscribing
entirely to any one philosophy – Libertarianism, Objectivism, Socialism,
Capitalistm etc. While some views/beliefs that i have mentioned may be common to the
mentioned philosophies, a pragmatic approach would be to combine elements of
those philosophies and add to that list if necessary.
- Take care of
their health (Eat largely healthy food ,exercise appropriately, do not smoke
etc. - note: there are known benifits to smoking)
- Agree that unemployment, recession etc. can be potentially eliminated. Agree that many of our current economic policies and monetary systems are flawed.
- Can set aside the urge to single-handedly and heroically achieve
something difficult if done individually- usually the same can be achieved
relatively easily by cooperating with reasonable individuals ( foresight – difficult for most free thinkers)
- Believe that integrity is largely a good policy.
- Believe that income tax and several other government rules and regulations do not make sense.
- Believe that the cost of living can be substantially lower
( example - housing, food ) if there is sufficient mature co-operation among
individuals
- Realize the damaging effects of the clichéd ‘hard work’ – ranging from health to
relationships.
- Largely do not feel the need for a progeny.
Important - Exceptions/variations will always exist for the above
mentioned list. No statement is categorical.
Miscellineous beliefs/traits
The number of explicite rules/regulations increase with
decrease in collective intelligence for the same setup. ( though it will require
someone intelligent to make the rule explicite in the first place.)
