Rating
(
most
organizations have some sort of rating in the form of designations and seniority -
I feel it's inadequate though)
Why rating of people is
important:
- A
compensation package can be made proportionate to the rating.
- People
above a certain level must be secure
in the knowledge that their position is safe. There should be no room for
guessing games.
- Possible
power struggle elimination.
- Bright
people often underrate themselves. When they are rated highly they can work
towards realizing their full potential
without being too cautious while taking risks.
- Consequently
many idiots overate themselves. Alpha male-sim can possibly be curbed if
such people are given a low rating.
- When
a new person joins the group – quite often he’s not a major player even
if he’s quite bright. Established members quite often may sideline him
unconsciously. If he’s given a high rating then ultimately such a person
can be given responsibilities/power proportionate to the rating.
- A
person must be able to contest his rating to avoid any bais.
- Immunity
from unfair criticism.
The rating of a person will
depend on various factors:
<<note: all terms below have to be define with examples>>
( this will be one of the major tasking of the group)
- Integrity.
<<has to be defined with examples>>
- Intelligence.
( an extremely hard term to define term - one way to define it is the depth to which a person can analyse a given problem )
- Ability
to identify other intelligent people.
- Tread
the fine dividing line between discussing an issue and getting work done.
- Maturity
not to randomly accuse someone of wrong doing or having done something
iefficiently/inappropriately
- Technical
intelligence.
- Conceptual
thinkers. Conceptual thinkers may not be good/fast at the work on which they
hypothesise their concepts. A guy who can design a calculator may not be the
fastest adder. Conceptual thinkers are rare and may not be promoted to their
level of competence cause they may lack that speed/efficiency of lower level
tasks.
- Efficiency
- Out
of the box thinking ( again difficult to define)
- Ability
not to be caught up in petty discussions eg. Religion ( though it might be
necessary to discuss that at some level)
- Ability
to market to common people. ( by resorting to rhetoric etc.)
- An
understanding of the biology evolution. ( the word evolution is
somewhat misleading though)
- Conceptual
understanding of economics.
- Invention of products/algorithms.
- Discoveries.
If you are aware of any organisation with
most/all of the mentioned feature please get in touch with me at dennisfreethinker(at)yahoo(dot)com. Put appropriate subject (
say NOT JUNK so that I do not overlook it as junk. If I do not respond within 2
day please put another email as I may have overlooked it.
